STEP II - PLAN
Step Two is the Planning Step
After a comprehensive Evaluation in Step I, the TradeShow Teacher team conducts a thorough processing and analysis of those findings before launching a PLAN of action in the direction which has been collaboratively agreed.
The TradeShow Teacher team will assist in compendious and detail-oriented show PLANNING in Step II which is imperative to trade show success!
The show-PLANNING step extensively incorporates the following:
- Show Budgeting - When it comes to trade show dollars, TradeShow Teacher has
the most sense! Whether outlining a budget for an entire annual exhibiting program
or crunching numbers for an individual showcase, it is with careful precision that we
assist in establishing a trade show budget that is cost effective.
The TradeShow Teacher team takes careful pride in making certain your budget is
put to good use promising that you get the most 'bang' for your trade show buck!
Miscalculations often happen as a result of lack of experience.
Through years of experience in the trade show trenches, the art of budgeting
is something we have mastered ever conscientious of economic pressures and
forecasted projections.
- Show Selection - The show selection component of the PLANNING step is never
as simple as it sounds and it is something in which our team is widely recognized
for its expertise and proficiency. This process involves outlining your trade show
budget and looking at the tradeshow calendar through global trade show search
engines. Depending on your industry, there is generally much out there to
choose from - big shows, small shows, niche shows, main-stream expos and more.
Show selection is very strategic and we know from experience that there are many
facets to look at besides the size. We also research attendee profiles, destination
(travel costs), industry/vertical variations and opportunities, networking events;
seminar, speaking and sponsorship offerings and where the competition is
exhibiting or not and how this can help or hurt your trade show objectives.
- Booth Display Production & Design - With a professional history originating in
graphic design, Linda Musgrove, the founder and president of TradeShow Teacher
has a discriminating and keen eye for what works in display design and what does
not. Part of the planning step is to provide direction and resources in order to
produce and design the most economic, effective and aesthetically eye-catching
booth display, which serves as a reflection and testament to your business.
Furnishings and booth spatial coordination are considered and covered as part
of this step as well.
- Promotional Materials/Literature - Promotional giveaways are typically awareness
and 'good-will' builders although many exhibitors feel they are essential in order to
remain competitive at trade shows. TradeShow Teacher is always up on the current
trends in promotional gifting and can advise for any budget -- big or small.
The TradeShow Teacher team helps select targeted items related to the client's
business; items key and qualified prospects can use, refer back to frequently or
benefit from and most importantly, are likely to keep. With literature-heavy
shows being a thing of the past due to global 'Going Green' initiatives,
TradeShow Teacher can offer solutions that greatly limit paper-based literature.
- Show Staffing and Staff Training - The TradeShow Teacher team knows how critical
it is to strike a balance in the staffing of your booth at a trade show.
TradeShow Teacher can help determine who and how many should be on-hand
at any given exhibition opportunity. We are available to train the booth staff
or to educate in-house staff members on how to properly train company booth
staff, which is a valuable skillset that can be carried from branch to branch for a
larger corporation.
- Lead Collection & Follow Up - TradeShow Teacher has mastered the art teaching its
clients to both collect and qualify leads. After all, it's not just about collecting any
and all leads but qualified leads worthy of face time and follow-up. Our team
stresses the importance of defining and identifying your ideal client and cross
referencing that with a show's attendee prospectus. Our team will walk you through
this process as well as educating the best, most effective lead follow-up techniques
of the trade.
- Travel and Trapsnportation Coordination - Travelling to exhibit at a show can cost
much time and money. The TradeShow Teacher team knows how to coordinate these
logistics as economically and efficiently as possible saving on airfare and car rentals.
TradeShow Teachers' team will help layout your best plan of action in regards to all
your people going places!
- Trade Show Kit Compilation - As the highly anticipated show you have registered and
paid for approaches, you will receive the "trade show kit" which typically arrives
electronically in a PDF format. As part of your planning and management services,
we offer guidance and direction in the compilation process of this kit which breaks
down everything about the show from soup to nuts. It is a comprehensive manual
including show services & rentals, rules, schedules, award opportunities, media
information, show contacts and more. The TradeShow Teacher team has compiled
and organized a countless number of these kits over the years. These kits are not
merely paperwork filled with fine print and minutia; they are your road map for that
year's event and will serves as your primary point of reference to launch the planning
for future shows.
As they say, the devil is in the details, and our specialty is to make sure that no stone in
the trade show planning process goes unturned.
Once we have all the 'PLANS' in place, it is now time to EXECUTE them in Step III.
